Easy Appetizer: Gorgonzola, Fig and Roasted Pears
This easy to prepare appetizer with Gorgonzola and Fontina cheese, Prosciutto, and fresh sliced pears, can also be served as a pizza.
Gorgonzola and Roasted Pear Appetizers
Crust
1 (13.8-oz.) can refrigerated pizza crustTopping
2 cups (8-oz.) grated Fontina cheese
1 cup (4-oz.) crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
1/4 cup fine diced red onion
1 cup fine diced Prosciutto
1 ripe-firm Bartlett pear, cored and sliced (unpeeled)
8 dried mission figs, stemmed and coarse choppedDirections
Preheat oven to 400° F. Spray 15×10x1-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Unroll dough; place in prepared pan. Starting at center, press out dough with hands to edge of pan. Bake at 400° F. for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown.Remove crust from oven. Sprinkle Fontina, Gorgonzola, onion, and Prosciutto evenly over partially baked crust. Top with sliced pears and chopped figs. Return to oven; bake an additional 11 to 16 minutes or until edges of crust are golden brown. Cut into squares. 20 appetizer servings.
