Bursting with Chocolate! Chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake
This simple to prepare cake is made with a trio of chocolate: chocolate cake mix, chocolate pudding, and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Every bite is pure chocolate indulgence.
Chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake
Ingredients
1 (18.25-ounce) package German Chocolate cake mix
1 (4 serving size) package chocolate instant pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chipsDirections
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt pan.Combine cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, oil, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed for 4 minutes. Fold in chocolate chips. Spoon and spread batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350°F. for 45 to 50 minutes, or until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. Cool in pan for 15 minutes; invert onto cooling rack. Cool completely. Lightly dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
Variation: To make loaves, pour prepared batter into two greased and floured 9×5x3-inch loaf pans. Bake as directed.
