Slices of tenderloin are also know as filet mignon. Serve this tender cut topped with zesty gorgonzola butter for a melt in your mouth, gourmet meal at home.
Grilled Tenderloin Steak with Gorgonzola Butter
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
4 beef tenderloin steaks (about 2 in. thick, 8 to 10 oz. each)Directions
Preheat gas or charcoal grill.Place butter, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper in medium bowl; beat until smooth. Fold in gorgonzola cheese. Set aside.
Season steaks with salt and pepper to taste. Place steaks on oiled grill over medium hot coals or medium heat on a gas grill (you can hold your hand at grill level only 4 to 5 seconds). Close lid. Cook steaks 16 to 18 minutes for medium-rare, turning once during cook time.
Transfer steaks to individual serving plates or serving platter; let rest 3 to 5 minutes. Serve topped with a dollop of prepared gorgonzola butter. Garnish with fresh chopped chives if desired. 4 servings.
