Traditional taco flavors all wrapped up in a new package. Another simple and quick recipe.
Tasty Taco Biscuit Pie
1 (10-ounce) can refrigerated flaky biscuits
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, undrained
1 (1.25-ounce) taco seasoning mix
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
1 tomato, diced
Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Separate dough into 10 biscuits. Arrange 7 biscuits around the sides, and 3 on the bottom of an ungreased 9-inch round pie pan; press biscuits to form crust (biscuits will form petal like shape around rim of pan).
Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium heat; drain. Stir in kidney beans and taco seasoning. Simmer 5 minutes. Spoon hot meat mixture into prepared crust.
Bake at 400 degrees. F. for 12 to 16 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Immediately top with cheese. Arrange lettuce and tomato in center of pie. Allow to cool 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with sour cream, and sliced avocados if desired. 6 servings.
