Oriental Ramen Salad

This is a fun salad to make, Top Ramen is used in both the salad and the dressing. Always popular at pot-lucks. Simple and delicious!

Oriental Ramen Salad

1 head cabbage, shredded
1 (10-ounce) package frozen peas, thawed
3 green onions, chopped
1 package Oriental, or Chicken flavor Top Ramen noodles, crushed
2 cups chopped cooked chicken, optional
4 tablespoons sliced almonds

1 package soup base mix from Top Ramen noodles
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup oil
2 tablespoons vinegar

Combine all salad ingredients in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together all dressing ingredients until well blended. Pour over salad; toss well to coat. Refrigerate until chilled. Garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired.
