Breakfast & Brunch: Whole Wheat Waffles

Serve these waffles topped with a little butter and honey, or your favorite syrup.

Whole Wheat Waffles

2 eggs
3 cups whole wheat flour
1-3/4 cups milk
1/2 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Heat waffle iron. In medium bowl, beat eggs until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients; mix until just smooth. Pour batter onto center of hot waffle iron; close lid. Bake 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle. Serve with your favorite topping. 6 servings.
