Herb Garlic Croutons
10 slices bread
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 teaspoons dried basil leaves, finely crushed
2 garlic cloves, minced
Heat oven to 300°F. Trim crusts from bread; cut slices into into 1/2-inch cubes. Spread cubes in 15×10-inch pan. Combine melted butter, basil, and garlic in a small bowl; drizzle over bread cubes, toss to coat. Bake at 300°F. for 30 to 35 minutes or until dry, crisp and golden brown, stirring occasionally. 4 cups.
Tip: 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder may be substituted for garlic cloves called for in recipe.
