Easy Chocolate Caramel Bars

The use of chocolate cake mix and caramel ice-cream topping makes this recipe easy to prepare.

Chocolate Caramel Bars

Ingredients
1 (18.25-ounce) package German Chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup milk
1 (6-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (12.5-ounce) jar (1 cup) caramel ice cream topping

Directions
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13×9-inch pan.

Combine cake mix, butter and milk in a large bowl; mix well. Press half of dough evenly in bottom of prepared pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts evenly over dough; drizzle caramel topping evenly over nut layer. Crumble remaining dough mixture over caramel topping.

Bake at 350°F. for 25 to 30 minutes or until caramel begins to bubble. Cool completely; cut into bars.
