Shrimp lightly cooked in a basil butter sauce served over angel hair pasta and topped off with Parmesan cheese. Simple and delicious.
Angel Hair Pasta with Herb Buttered Shrimp
Ingredients
1 (12-ounce) package uncooked angel hair pasta
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 pound uncooked fresh medium shrimp, shelled and deveined
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil
1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheeseDirections
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.Meanwhile, melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and onion; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until shrimp are light pink. Add basil; mix well.
To serve, transfer hot cooked pasta to large serving platter. Top with shrimp; sprinkle with cheese. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. 4 servings.
